Previous Awards for LUISA<\/h3>
Director Julia Roesler received two awards at the 39th Braunschweig International Film Festival (BIFF): first, the TILDA, a prize endowed with \u20ac6,000 for a film by a female director, selected from eight international productions. Shortly afterwards, she also received the Heimspiel Award, endowed with \u20ac5,000, for the best film with a regional connection.

At the same time, dramaturge Silke Merzh\u00e4user accepted the Audience Award for LUISA at the Ahrenshoop Film Nights.

About the Film<\/h3>
Our feature film LUISA tells the story of 24-year-old Luisa, who lives in a shared residential home for people with disabilities together with seven other residents. Unnoticed, Luisa becomes quieter and quieter while everyday life in the group home continues\u2014until it is unexpectedly discovered that she is pregnant. She tells no one what happened; she remains silent. Sexual abuse is suspected.

The investigation that follows becomes a severe ordeal for Luisa, her boyfriend Anton, and the entire staff of the residential facility.
