A DREAM OF REVOLUTION

45 years ago, with the victory of the revolution in Nicaragua, began an
Era of hope. A young generation takes over the government with the
ambitious goal of building a fairer and more social society.

From West Germany alone 15,000 “Brigadists” traveled in the 1980s
to rebuild the bled dry country
Nicaragua: Liberals, Greens, trade unionists, social democrats,
Leftists and church representatives harvest coffee and cotton, build schools,
Kindergartens and hospital wards. No movement has so many people
mobilized. The director Petra Hoffmann is also there. 45 years
After the victory of the revolution she asks what happened to the wishes and
dreams of revolutionaries and their supporters.
