Humans have a remarkable talent for polluting their environment. They
pollute the atmosphere with CO2, the oceans with plastic – and the internet with AI-generated trash: The web is on the rise due to increasingly cheaper and
more powerful AI applications near the tipping point, but no international conferences and no protesting activists do something about it, no one gets stuck on the web! The slumification of the digital Cultural space – which once promised to be a library, cinema, concert hall and research tool for everyone – in a garbage pit full of futility, seems unstoppable.
