“I love the desert. I feel free here!” Haya gushes. “I can hardly describe what I feel when I play around in the dunes. It’s an exciting tingle, a bit like flying.” Haya dreams one day of driving across the wide expanse of the desert in a dune buggy – in a country where women are not allowed to drive.

Driving a vehicle has been permitted to women in Saudi Arabia as of June 2018. The film was shot beforehand.
