Boris Palmer is one of the most well-known local politicians in Germany and at the same time one of the most controversial figures in the political landscape. This documentary tells the story of a man whose personality reflects key conflicts of our time: the conflict between economics and ecology, the debate about racism and wokeness, and freedom of expression and its limits. Author Frank Marten Pfeiffer accompanied the mayor of Tübingen with his camera for three years.
