a Film by Jack Rath
Germany/Australia | 2012 | Documentary | 90 min | Digibeta 16:9
Without a sailing licence or radio licence and without any experience, the young Australian Nick Jaffe sails on the 20-year-old, only 7-metre-long Constellation on the west route from Germany to Australia. In Berlin, he meets Australian filmmaker Jack Rath by chance and tells him about his idea. Jack decides to accompany Nick’s progress with his camera. A film about a modern Odysseus and the open sea – the last playground of our planet, where everything that was important on land becomes worthless.
